Notefile URL scheme

Notefile has a URL scheme for opening the app and adding new notes. These URLs can be useful in bookmarklets or apps like Launch Center for iOS, or Alfred for Mac.

Notefile for iOS 1.2 or later or Notefile for Mac 1.0 or later is required for the following URL schemes. (Our Dashboard widget for Mac does not support them.) Note that notefile: URLs will give an error if Notefile is not installed.

Open Notefile

Simply open the app, and nothing else:
notefile:

Add a new note

Open a new note, empty and ready to type in:
notefile://add

Open a new note with the given text:
notefile://add?text=Aardvarks%20are%20my%20favorite

Search your notes and history

Search URLs require Notefile for iOS 1.5.1 or later or Notefile for Mac 1.1.1 or later.

Open the search field, empty and ready to type in:
notefile://search

Search for the given text:
notefile://search?text=Figs
