Grab text from web pages

This page will help you set up a bookmarklet that grabs the text of the current web page and adds it to Notefile.

To set up this tool, drag the link below to your bookmarks bar. If you use Internet Explorer, right-click the link and choose “Add to Favorites”.

You can use this bookmarklet on your computer, or in Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. To add it to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you can use iCloud to sync your bookmarks, or visit this page directly on your device and follow the instructions there.

This page will help you set up a bookmarklet that grabs the text of the current web page and adds it to Notefile.

Follow these steps to create the bookmarklet:

  1. Tap the share button and choose “Add Bookmark”.
  2. Select the bookmarklet text below and copy it.
  3. Open your bookmarks and edit the bookmark you created.
  4. Tap on the URL, then tap the X button to clear it.
  5. Paste the bookmarklet text.
  6. Tap Done.

You can also use this bookmarklet on your computer. To add it to your computer, you can use iCloud to sync your bookmarks, or visit this page on your computer and follow the instructions there.

Once it’s set up, this is how you use it:

  1. Open a page in your web browser.
  2. Go to your bookmarks and choose the “Add to Notefile” bookmark.
  3. If Notefile is installed, it will open and the text of the page will be added to a new note.
