Can I listen to the app if I don’t have a commute?
Sure. If you want to listen, but don't feel like taking a walk, just disable location services and the app will use random data to create the music. Open the Settings app, tap Privacy, then tap Location Services. Find “Chicago Ave.” in the list and turn the switch off. Another option is to use Airplane Mode—after 30 seconds of not getting any location updates, the app will switch to using random data.
