Mike Piontek

My name is Mike Piontek, and I founded Junecloud in August 2008. Junecloud is a small graphic design studio located in Northville, Michigan, providing design and web development services for clients all around the world. Our sites are created using web standards, for compatibility with all web browsers—from Internet Explorer to Safari, even mobile phones and video game consoles. We also design software for the web, Mac OS X, iPhone, and iPod touch.

We have over 14 years of experience for clients including The Sylmark Group, Chesed Direct, American Greetings, Cyan Pictures, Stock Yard Films, Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, American Sunroof Corporation, and many others. Please browse the design section for a sampling of our work.

The illustrations on these pages were drawn by Holly Tickner.

This site was created with Junecode, our own content management and web log system, written in PHP with MySQL. The HTML and CSS were hand coded in BBEdit. Most graphics were created in Photoshop, except for the logo and green pattern, which were created in FreeHand. Files were uploaded with Transmit. The site is hosted by DreamHost and served by Apache.

Everything here was created on Apple computers running Mac OS X. I use a 20" iMac Core Duo at home and a 13" MacBook on the road. I use VMWare Fusion running Windows XP for complete browser testing. My MacBook doesn’t go anywhere unless it’s in a Booq Vyper sleeve.
