The Future of Deliveries Deliveries began as a hobby—it was first released as a Dashboard widget named “Apple…
A sale, some updates, and future updates
Our apps are updated and on sale
Delivery Status for iOS, Notefile for iOS, and Notefile for Mac have all been updated with improvements and bug fixes. They’re also all on sale, along with Chicago Avenue Moon. They won’t be on sale for long, so grab them at a discount while you can!
One quick note: right after these updates were approved we found a bug that makes it impossible to create a new Junecloud account from within our apps. We’ll get a fix out soon, but in the meantime you can create an account here or just use iCloud instead. (Note that if you want to sync with Delivery Status for Mac, you’ll need to use Junecloud sync for now.)
iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite
OS X Yosemite and iOS 8 will be available later this year. We’re working on updates for all of our apps, so everything will work well when they arrive. If you happen to be beta testing Yosemite we already have a bunch of updates here. So far we haven’t run into any problems in iOS 8—our existing apps should work fairly well.
We’re also working on bigger updates to support some of the new features in iOS 8 and Yosemite. Notification Center widget support for Delivery Status has been a big request, and yes, we’re planning on it.
Delivery Status app for Mac
People have been asking for a long time of we’ll ever have a proper Delivery Status app for Mac—one that doesn’t use Dashboard. If you watched Apple’s preview of Yosemite, you may have noticed that Dashboard is on the way out. (It’s still there, but Notification Center widgets are clearly meant as a replacement, and there’s even an option to turn Dashboard off now.)
The good news is yes, a Mac app is coming! It has been in the works for a while—some significant pieces of Delivery Status for iOS and even Notefile were designed to make their way to Delivery Status for Mac as well. Notefile for Mac was also a huge learning experience—creating a full Mac app can be a bit complicated—and all of our apps will benefit from that experience. All of our preparation is finally coming together now, fairly quickly. We’re also rewriting and improving a lot of code that will make its way back to our other apps in time. Delivery Status for Mac will require OS X Yosemite and it will be available exclusively on the Mac App Store. We’ll share more about it soon.
