Geek Week got a big update this week, with a bunch of new blogs and a news section. We came up with a design that looks great and didn’t require too many changes to the existing design. I really like the feature that displays the latest update from each blog—which was made easy since the entire site is built on Tense Log.

I’ve just put a new site online, Q Tonic Water. The idea behind Q Tonic Water is that the tonic water is often a substantial part of a drink, yet most of the stuff available is garbage—loaded with high fructose corn syrup and calories. Why ruin a quality drink with cheap tonic water? That’s where Q Tonic comes in—a natural, quality tonic water created by Jordan Silbert.

Tense Log 2.0 beta 2 is now available! This is a major update with a totally new look and help system. You can import posts and categories from WordPress too. Check out the full list of updates or take a look at some screenshots and download it. Tense Index 3.0 beta 2 is available too, with much nicer image popups, automatic updating of thumbnails, and more.

I’ve managed to make excellent progress with Tense Log, and I’ll be making the next beta version available on September 1st. This version will be very close to complete, with little else to do but find bugs and squash them.
Above you can get a peek at the new help system. I think this is a huge improvement over the popup window I had before. This way the walkthrough is always right next to the page, and you can still flip through it without interrupting what you’re doing (thanks to AJAX… Read more »

I’ve been hacking away at Tense Log whenever I can spare a moment, giving it a major visual overhaul and a bunch of smaller tweaks in the process. Aside from being much easier on the eyes in general, it has bigger text, bigger buttons, and a centered layout that fits larger window sizes much better. I’ve also incorporated a modified version of Lightbox JS to display full size images.
