Geek Week got a big update this week, with a bunch of new blogs and a news section. We came up with a design that looks great and didn’t require too many changes to the existing design. I really like the feature that displays the latest update from each blog—which was made easy since the entire site is built on Tense Log.

When you update a Dashboard widget to a newer version, you’re presented with a warning that it will close all open copies of the widget. It’s an understandable default behavior, since in some cases using your old settings could cause problems. It would be nice if Apple offered an option to keep them open though—for those that don’t mind risking some minor issues. Fortunately, there is a way to do this—it just takes a little extra work.

The most-requested feature is here: Delivery Status now displays detailed tracking information right in the widget. If your package is out for delivery, arrived in Kentucky, or held up in Alaska, you’ll know it all right away.

I’ve just put a new site online, Q Tonic Water. The idea behind Q Tonic Water is that the tonic water is often a substantial part of a drink, yet most of the stuff available is garbage—loaded with high fructose corn syrup and calories.
